Elementary Curriculum Based Agricultural Tours
Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Tours.

As an alternative to classroom learning your children can participate in the “see” and “do” learning experiences on a 225+ year old farm. Each tour may feature “Lil’ Pudd”, Niagara’s first agricultural train, tractor pulled wagon rides. Children love learning about the needs of living things, growth, and the importance of agriculture today at Puddicombe Farms.
Here Comes Peter Cottontail
Students will get to step back into the magical world of “Peter Cottontail” written by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins in 1949 and many of its elements had a long and distinguished literary and cultural history. They will also experience the sights of the beautiful estate. See brochure for full details.

Duration: 1.5 to 2-hour tour
Blossoms, Bee’s, and Spring Planting
Students will be able to see the bee’s action firsthand while they play a significant role in food, farming, and the environment. They will also experience the sights of beautiful blossoms on the fruit trees. See brochure for full details.

Duration: 1.5 to 2-hour tour
Farm to You
Train ride on Lil’ Pudd as well as a wagon ride throughout the orchards, vineyards, by the irrigation pond and view the Niagara Escarpment. Students will play games called “Farm to Table” and “Where do our fruits and veggies grow” to demonstrate how agriculture meets their personal and community’s needs + more! Duration: 2-hour tour
Apple Harvest
Train ride on Lil’ Pudd as well as a wagon ride throughout the apple orchards, vineyards, by the irrigation pond and view the Niagara Escarpment fall colours. Students will be taken to the pick your own apple orchard and will see firsthand how apples are grown, cared for, and harvested throughout the seasons. See brochure for full details.

Fabulous Pumpkins
